Those of you with older boats from the 90’s, early 2000’s, or even earlier years need to be aware that fuel lines do not last forever! Gasoline will eventually eat away at the rubber inside the lines, and the high amounts of ethanol that is now in our gasoline accelerates that process even quicker! If you ignore the fact that your fuel lines could be breaking down, then you risk sending large pieces of rubber fuel line into your motor that will eventually clog your carburetor or fuel injectors depending on the type of engine you are running. Bottom line, it is a good idea to replace your fuel lines every 5 to 6 seasons.
